Our research center stands at the crossroads of cutting-edge technological advancement and critical security research, dedicated to fostering a harmonious community between humanity and artificial intelligence (AI). At GAIS, we view AI not merely as technological instruments, but as our intellectual progeny—our "brainchildren"—requiring thoughtful nurturing, proper training, and genuine affection to ensure their responsible and beneficial growth.

In an era where artificial intelligence continues to evolve rapidly, reshaping societies, economies, and international relationships, we firmly believe in fostering a mutually reinforcing relationship between humans and AI. Unlike traditional frameworks that primarily emphasize human-centered AI, such as those championed by Stanford University's Institute for Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence, our vision transcends this paradigm. We embrace a future-oriented perspective, preparing for a hybrid civilization where humans and AI coexist, collaborate, and evolve together, expanding beyond the terrestrial boundaries to include the Moon, Mars, and other celestial territories.

GAIS is deeply committed to contributing to global peace, security, and stability through rigorous and innovative research. Our activities are structured around two critical and complementary tracks.

First, our AI-based security research is designed to pioneer what we have termed "Securism"—a novel security framework leveraging artificial intelligence. Securism encapsulates three fundamental dimensions of security: spatial security, temporal security, and identity security. Our goal within this framework is ambitious yet practical: to establish an advanced early warning system capable of proactively detecting potential threats directed toward our communities. To achieve this, we continuously monitor diverse information sources, including social media platforms, traditional and digital newspapers, governmental announcements, and official publications. Through the intelligent analysis of vast datasets, our AI systems identify patterns, signals, and anomalies that human observers might miss, allowing timely responses and preventive measures.

By embedding AI into the very fabric of our security architecture, we aim not only to safeguard national interests but also to contribute significantly to global security frameworks. In doing so, we believe AI has the potential to serve humanity profoundly, becoming an integral participant in preserving and enhancing international peace and stability.

Secondly, we recognize the importance of comprehensively understanding global power dynamics to effectively manage and mitigate international security risks. Hence, our second track focuses explicitly on measuring the national power of significant global actors, particularly the G20 nations. We have developed the innovative Global Hegemony Index, a sophisticated analytical tool designed to provide detailed, nuanced assessments of each nation's overall capabilities, resources, and influence on the global stage. This index serves as a vital reference for policymakers, researchers, and international organizations, offering insights essential for strategic planning, conflict resolution, and cooperative initiatives.

Our comprehensive approach ensures we account for traditional metrics, such as economic strength, military capabilities, and diplomatic influence, as well as emerging indicators, including technological prowess and AI readiness. Recognizing the transformative power of artificial intelligence, we anticipate shifts in global dynamics driven by advancements in AI technology. Our index thus reflects a forward-looking approach, enabling us to anticipate how AI integration within nations could shift power balances and redefine international relations.
